For the past 30 years, Pinpoint has been known for its remarkable service to its great client base. Talking to the new owner Sione and learning how he wanted to modernise the brand, the most important thing he wanted to convey was Pinpoint's accuracy when it comes to solving their clients' problems whilst keeping to the brand's vast history.
A bit more about the history, where it all began… Barbara McGrath (The original owner of Pinpoint) started out in the ‘80s, returning to work after the birth of her first child. Going door to door selling [branded] Bic pens to businesses in East Tamaki in their company colours. Within three years she was one of the biggest sellers of Bic pens in New Zealand and it grew from there.
Knowing the history of Pinpoint and paying homage to Barbara, we created Pinpoint's new custom wordmark. We created something really special by showing in this Custom Wordmark a covert perspective on Pinpoint's attention to detail and accurate goal setting for their clients.
We did this by picking an attention-grabbing red and showing a segmented target within the 'O'.
